Cy Bassett, born in Southern California, has been around the sun sixty-six (66) times. His parents, who were in the US AirForce afforded him many opportunities to create a lifestyle of socialization. As an All-State Gymnast and Varsity Cheerleader at Palo Alto High School, Cy became a well-known athlete.
In October of 1967, he joined the US Army as a Paratrooper and went to serve in the jungles of Vietnam on a five (5) man reconnaissance team. His experience awarded him a Combat Infantry Badge, Purple Heart and a Bronze Star. In 1969, after being wounded in combat, he returned to the states to become a restaurant manager in the San Diego Area.
Soon afterward, moved to Sausalito, California where he and his cousin built a 68’wood sailboat. With a crew of six(6),sailed it to Hawaii then on to Tahiti, using Celestial navigation. While in Tahiti he operated a Tailoring business and spent much time sailing between the islands.
Upon returning to the mainland, Cy worked at a resort in Northern California as a bartender. There he met the love of his life: Jacqueline (believe this) at the resort gas station.
They relocated from California to Northern Arizona in 1977, and they love the “dry heat”!
The community where they live now in Central Phoenix is perfect for their lifestyle. Their children are both grown, presently unmarried with no children. Their son owns Campbell Construction, and daughter, Amy lives in Southern India, and works as a CFO in her community there.
Cy and Jacqui are both very active in a variety of organizations, including school, their church and many Veteran outreach programs. Cy spent over thirty(30)years in the upholstery business and various aspects of creativity in the field of stitching.
Jacqui and Cy now own a home-based business, and share their knowledge of natural ways of healing the body and the benefits of a non-pharmaceutical lifestyle. They have helped many people enjoy a better quality life and directions towards whole body wellness.
